BlurShield does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information or user data. All detection, blurring, and settings processing take place entirely within your browser on your local device. BlurShield operates locally, and no information is ever sent or shared outside your device. No Personally Identifiable Information: We do not collect names, addresses, emails, or any identification numbers. No Health or Financial Data: We do not collect any health-related or financial/payment information. No Authentication or Communications: We do not collect passwords, credentials, emails, texts, chats, or any communications. No Location or Device Info: We do not access, track, or store your IP address, GPS, or related location data. No Web History or User Activity: We never track browsing history, visited URLs, clicks, scrolls, or keystrokes. No Website Content Storage: While BlurShield scans content locally to blur sensitive data, it does not collect, transmit, or upload any website content.

Permissions

BlurShield requests only the minimal permissions necessary: storage: To save your preferences locally. No data leaves your device. activeTab: To enable blurring only on the tab you choose. scripting: For injecting blurring functions—always executed locally. contextMenus: To provide you with manual blur options through your browser menu. site host permissions: Required only to offer the blur function, never to access or record content. No permission is used to collect or transfer any data.

Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties. We do not use data for any purpose unrelated to BlurShield’s single function. We do not use or transfer data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.

Remote Code

BlurShield does NOT load or run any remote code. All code is packaged and included within the extension, and nothing is loaded from external servers.

Children's Privacy

BlurShield does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from children under 13.
